The DOT Foundation, awarded them R50, 000 for elephant research. Money was donated to the Foundation from the estate of the late Dr Clay Wilson, a wildlife vet who was very involved with elephant conservation. After conducting a due diligence on AWE, we decided they were a worthy recipient.

It’s great news, amid a crisis in South Africa. The government says the number of rhinos poached last year dropped, for the first time in a decade.
The number of poached rhinos went down to fewer than 12,000 and comes after a record-setting year in 2014.
The majority of rhinos are still killed in the country’s Kruger National Park. So what can be done to bring that number to zero?
